”I draw inspiration from my multicultural experience, surrealism, the urban art scene of Brighton and pop culture. I would describe my work as self-reflective and conceptual, aiming to explore amusing topics and to be decorative yet engaging.  From my perspective art means discussion, cultural progress and, most importantly, fun."

About this collection:

"In this handmade print project I wanted to combine folk and modern urban imagery. It led me to exploring the patterns and folk clothing of my own ancestry, south eastern Russia and Caucasus. I decided to convey modernity with a high colour contrast between print layers, extremely saturated colour as well as minimalistic juxtaposition. Linocut printing is a very satisfying technique to work with and it, upon me discovering it, has taken my work into a completely new and exciting direction."
