Artist's Thoughts "I’ve always loved colors, movement, shapes and sound. I’ve worked as a stage artist for over 15 years and during this challenging year my schedule has been freed for more creative aspirations that seem to flow abundantly from within me.
For me, energy and ambience are integral parts of creating art. I position myself into the energy of the characters I portray, but with visual arts I transition into a specific ambience and the things I try to express: colors, shapes and movement. I have a great sense for my surroundings which get channeled onto the white and empty canvas. The music I listen while creating is very harmonic and meditative. As the colors and shapes meld into state of flow created by the music, the experience can ascend into a spiritual one. While painting, I feel that my hands convey an energy that becomes embodied in a visual form of beauty that hopefully will get to be experienced on the wall of someone else’s home. Presently I’m studying for a PhD in the University of Helsinki and my thesis work is about corporal empathy in the theatric interactive community. It is my belief that movement in visual arts can inspire movement in the viewer."
